Seductress (Acrylic on canvas, 30 x 24 inches)
Anima was Carl Jung’s concept for the feminine part of a man’s personality and an archetype in the collective unconscious. Jung believed there were several levels of anima development, which he named after mythical figures such as Eve or Hellen of Troy. This cat-like figure – playful yet capable of spiritual insight – is a reflection on “the seductress” as an anima.
